Casting has begun for a new Love Island series this year (fingers crossed!).

ITV is now casting for potential stars in the popular show’s next season, which is rumoured to be returning in summer.

The show was about to become a twice-yearly event with the first-ever winter edition filming in South Africa in February last year, however the brakes were put on filming following the outbreak of Covid-19.

There were calls to cancel the show last year after Caroline Flack became the fourth person associated with Love Island to take their own life.

However, the show’s casting website has seen some action with single wannabes now invited to apply.

There are only four simple conditions for applicants too: you must be over 18, have no family links to ITV or the producers of Love Island, you must have a passport and must be free for eight weeks to film!

Sounds simple right?!

If you think you want to find love on the ITV show, film a short video – make sure there is no filter on it – and explain why you should be cast for the next series.

You need to include a headshot and a full-length photo of yourself, and be prepared to provide your job, gender and sexual orientation if the casting agents ask.

However, to really be in with a chance of getting on the show you’ll need to make sure you definitely stand out, as last year six of the 30 contestants were put forward by agents.

ITV chief exec Carolyn McCall previously said: “Twenty-four were found and cast by the programme’s casting team and six were put forward by professional agents.”

You can apply here – you’ve got until April 30th 2021 to do so.
