Love it or hate it, Love Island is one of those TV series that is bound to get a strong reaction from people. And if you fall into the ‘love’ category then we’ve got some good news, as the launch date for the new series has been ‘revealed’. According to reports, fans will only have to wait nine weeks for its return, and insiders have revealed filming starts in a fortnight.
This year will be the longest series ever as well, with contestants having to be available for a whole ten weeks.

According to insider sources, the hit ITV2 show will return on Monday June 6th. This insider reportedly said: “Love Island is coming back with a bang and it will begin on the second full week in June.
“The schedules are being put together now and fans can expect a long, hot summer of fun from the villa from June 6.
“Filming for the promotional adverts is beginning in the next couple of weeks and the ads will start in May.
“This series is going to be the longest ever and it’s from a brand new location so it’s all very exciting.”
