Netflix has announced plans to change the price of each plan affecting millions of people in the UK.
Plans to hike prices by £24 a year for millions of people have been announced by Netflix, which has confirmed the standard price will now be £9.99 a month.
This means the standard plan, which allows you to watch two screens at once, will see an 11% monthly price increase, up from £8.99 a month.
For those with a premium plan that allows four different screens to be watched simultaneously, and to watch HD and Ultra HD where available, will increase by £2 to £13.99 monthly.
It also comes after Netflix confirmed the month-long free trial before signing up was also dropped last year.
13 million people will be impacted by the changes, which are set to happen ‘in the next couple of months’.

Now, the easiest and cheapest way to get Netflix is to pay the full £9.99 monthly subscription.
Sky customers with a SkyQ box, however, will find that by upgrading to Sky Ultimate TV – a bundle which costs £25 – Netflix is included and is essentially free.
