A new mind-bending crime thriller, starring Stephen Graham, is landing on Netflix next week, and it looks incredible.
The Peaky Blinder and Boiling Point star can be seen in the new two-minute trailer for the series Bodies, where he plays a politician tied up in an unusual murder case spanning decades.
This suspenseful time-bending crime thriller is about the same murder happening several times during the span of 160 years, with the story based on the novel of the same name, by Si Spencer.
The plot is a uniquely different one and links four detectives together as they all work towards solving the same murder case, not one long unsolved case, but the same person being killed four times in over a century and a half.
Bodies will see DS Hasan, played by Amaka Okafor (The Responder, Greatest Days), introduced as she discovers a dead body on the streets of Whitechapel, London in the present day.
She quickly realises it’s similar to two previous murders in the same location, but back in 1890 and 1941.
Graham’s character, politician Elias Mannix tells her the body is from ‘the past, present and the future’ while viewers are shown the same identical case as it unfolds in 2053.
The series also stars Kyle Soller, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd and Shira Haas as detectives.
“I’m going to tell you everything. It’s going to blow your mind,” promises Elias amid explosions and gunfire.
Bodies is created by Shameless and Torchwood’s Paul Tomalin and Gangs of London’s Danusia Samal.
It comes from the same producers behind Peaky Blinders – so expect a quality and gritty British crime show.
The series was filmed in 2022, with some of it shot in parts of Greater Manchester, as well as Hull, Leeds, Grimsby, Bradford and Rotherham.
Bodies lands on Netflix next Thursday, October 19th.
