Actor Will Mellor has confirmed that he has a Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps spin-off written and ready to shoot.
However, the BBC has rejected it.
The forty-five-year-old actor, who played Gaz Wilkinson in the BBC sitcom for ten years, said that he is on the hunt for another channel to air the spin-off show, which is said to focus on his character alongside Ralf Little’s Jonny Keogh.
Mellor told The Daily Star: “We’ve got the scripts… It’s called Two Pints: Last Orders. It’s revamped. It’s a spin-off about Gaz and Jonny, and it’s really funny.

“It’s been brought up to the modern day but Gaz and Jonny are still very old school and sit in the pub talking about pies and beer.
“Fans are going mad for it, so we’ve got the audience. The BBC said no, they don’t want to revisit Two Pints.”
But ever the optimist, Mellor said he’s going to look for someone else, ‘whether it’s another channel or whether it’s Britbox or Netflix, because there’s a massive audience for this’.
Mellor also spoke about the original show, saying he thinks it would be ‘too offensive’ to be aired these days.
He added: “It would get slaughtered for being too offensive.”

This comes after the show’s creator Susan Nickson first announced the idea of a reboot last year, revealing that she had been in talks with the BBC with Mellor and Little.
Susan also acknowledged that the reboot would need a drastic script change to accommodate modern topics and issues such as the ‘Me Too’ movement.
Speaking on the Drama School Dropout podcast, she said: “I want to see the comforting story of people like Gaz and Jonny, who live in a world where bad guys don’t exist. I want them to acknowledge the bad guys are out there though, but I don’t want Gaz and Jonny to be them.”
The comedy followed the antics of a group of friends in their twenties and, though it was never a big hit with critics, it was consistently popular with viewers and ultimately ran for nine seasons, coming to an end in 2011.
