A woman has sparked an intense debate after voicing her opinion that anyone over the age of forty shouldn’t be allowed in nightclubs.
Appearing on this morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain, singer and reality TV star Tallia Storm gave her somewhat controversial stance on the presence of party-goers over a certain age in nightclubs.
While stressing that she loves seeing people ‘living their best lives’, she said that while she’s coming into her ‘prime’ at the age of twenty-two, she doesn’t want to go into a club and see her dad, her dad’s friend or even her grandad ‘cutting some shapes.’
She argued: “I think the £5 entry fee and the £2 shots can be left to us youngsters and you guys have many more options to head to.

“I’m just not sure what they have common. Do they like Tion Wayne? I’m not sure if they will even be able to relate to top hits UK right now.”
However, DJ Tony Blackburn, seventy-eight, opposed Tallia’s view, pointing out that he first went to Ibiza at the age of sixty and that fun shouldn’t have an age limit.
He argued: “If you took this to extreme and ban people over the age of forty from being in a club, how about those people in Ibiza, all the DJs there, they’re all over forty. Would you stop them performing? It’s ridiculous.
“I was sixty when I first went to Ibiza and when I’d done my set I went to a club that played trance music and I loved it. I don’t see why it should be that you’re over forty and you can’t go to a club, it’s obviously ridiculous.”
The debate was sparked after Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove was spotted, somewhat bizarrely, raving on the dance floor in an Aberdeen nightclub.
Just two months after announcing his divorce from wife of twenty years, Sarah Vine, the fifty-four year old was photographed and videoed having a jolly good time on the dance floor, with many comparing his dance moves to those of Mr. Bean.
Pipe club night, the event who hosted the senior Cabinet member, posted on Facebook: “Thanks to all the amazing people, and Michael Gove, who made it out for the first Pipe last night, we had a great time going in for 4 hours straight.
