Dunelm has launched a ‘Delivering Joy’ campaign that hopes to deliver gifts to less fortunate people this Christmas.
Delivering Joy sees Christmas trees set up with name tags of people from care homes and primary schools in the town of the store.
The name tag comes with a description of the interests of the person giving shoppers the chance to fill a shoebox with personalised gifts for the child or elderly person.
Abbie Higham, community champion for Dunelm, said: “We’re asking our community group to come into store and donate gifts for the person they’ve chosen on the label and the idea is just to support our local community.
“It’s going to be a hard Christmas for people if they’re struggling so we want to make sure they’re going to get a gift this year, at least something.”
She added: “We’d like to reach as many people as possible.”
Once you return the shoebox to store, Dunelm will wrap the box. However, they Tweeted to recommend you add a message on Christmas card!
Dunelm Tweeted ‘we believe every store is taking part’! So, find your nearest Dunelm store and spread some festive cheer this year.
