Some of the top high street shops are expected to have huge sales to shift stock post lockdown.

Many high street stores are preparing to reopen after being shut for months, and are expected to return with massive savings of up to 70% off.

Online sales have already started at many stores including John Lewis, Debenhams, New Look, H&M, M&S and Next.

These online sales are expected to continue in-store once reopen.

According to The Sun, retail analysts are predicting discounts of up to 70% throughout July, August and September.

Currently, Debenhams and Next have 50% off home stock, while New Look is offering 60% off some items.

Last month, it was reported Primark would have a post-lockdown ‘bumper sale’ after accruing £1.5billion unsold stock.

Hargreaves Lansdown analyst Sophie Lund-Yates told the Mirror: “When Primark was ordered to shut its doors mountains of inventory was already on its way, ready to replenish stores which are in hibernation.

“For consumers this could mean bumper sales when shops reopen, as sales stickers are one of the quickest ways to shift excess items.”
