You can put on a VR headset and be whisked away to realms ‘beyond your wildest dreams’, solving puzzles and escaping reality before you even get on your flight.

VR gaming rooms include the ‘Depths of Osiris’, which transports you to deep-sea platform Oceanus 5, before travelling to the lost temple of Osiris to retrieve the ancient artefact inside.

Enter the Dragon Tower, home to an evil alchemist, who feeds local dragons thieves and murderers once a year from his tower to keep the village safe. However, with no criminals this past year, the alchemist accuses you of being foreign spies.

Then there’s Space Station Tiberia, where your mission is to save earth from the largest meteor humanity has ever encountered, using anti-meteor lasers.

It’s perfect for solo adventures, family fun, or even a unique team-building activity.

Simmons Bar

Simmons Bar is celebrating its arrival in Manchester by throwing two HUGE parties this week, with free drinks from 6-8pm tomorrow and Friday.

It will be bringing ‘cocktails, dreams and disco’ to the former Botanist site on Deansgate, when it opens the doors of its first Northern site.

Simmons is already massively successful down in London, where it’s known for huge happy hours, late night cocktails and packed dancefloors.

All of this has been transported up to their new, shiny Manchester home, so get ready to party like it’s… 2024.

Owner Nick Campbell says: “Manchester leads the way when it comes to nightlife, and we’re excited to be able to be a part of it”.

According to Nick, he wants to ‘bring value and top-quality partying back to Deansgate and challenge outdated beliefs that the two can’t coexist’.

If you get hungry there’ll be pizza from Manchester’s newest pizza parlour, Holy Slice, who will be leading the food offering inside Simmons.

The two launch parties are happening tomorrow and Friday, October 24th and 25th, but you can also get yourself booked in for whenever you fancy now.
