Fans can live out their rap fantasy at a Hip Hop Karaoke night, coming to Manchester next month.
Chinese and South Asian food hall Hello Oriental is launching the event on Sunday, October 1st.
There will be a variety of tracks to choose from, including old school gems from the 80s and 90s, whatever your favourite hip hop era, as well as some R&B classics from the likes of Destiny’s Child and Usher.
A line-up of faces from the Manchester hip hop and music scene are expected to attend the epic event which will run from 4pm-11pm.
Founded by DJ Rob Pursey with host Bobby Champagne Jr and a team of hip hop aficionados in 2001, Hip Hop Karaoke – which originated in London – has helped thousands of hip hop fans live out their rap fantasies over the last couple of decades.
Launching for the first time in Manchester, the event will celebrate 50 years of hip hop in music.
Rob Pursey, founder of Hip Hop Karaoke, says: “I’ve been dying to bring the event to Manchester. The city has an exceptional reputation when it comes to having a party.
“The Hip Hop Karaoke team have got so many friends and connections in the city, we can’t wait to see that Manchester energy coming through!”
Located just off Oxford Road, around the corner from Hatch, Hello Oriental – which opened just last year – houses a food hall, cocktail spot, supermarket, bakery and a rapidly evolving party space, across all three storeys.
