After remaining firmly closed for decades, Little David Street is finally coming back to life with a huge street party hosted by local brewery Shindigger.
Located just off Chorlton Street and tucked between Minshull Warehouse and the Minto & Turner canal warehouse, the cobbled Little David Street was once upon a time gated up, closed off from the public, and completely forgotten about as the city around it flourished.
The reasoning behind the closure of the street remains a little murky but, in 2019, a saviour in the form of KAMPUS injected some life back into it, describing it today as ‘an industrial-atmospheric, alfresco sort of a street, one of several that cuts through our new community.’

And now, KAMPUS have teamed up with local brewery ShinDigger to throw a massive summer party down the street, complete with live music, street food, local drinks and entertainment.
Taking place next month, the party will see music stages curated by Reform Radio with a mixture of funk and soul, garage, disco and bass sets.
Alongside the main stage on Little David Street, there will be a fully kitted ShinDigger bar, a chill out stage in the KAMPUS garden, local street food traders and a canal side food and drink offering by Le Social, who have taken residency at the Bungalow. The full set list will be confirmed soon.

The event’s description reads: “Come and explore this magical venue. Little David Street is re-opening after being closed to the public for 20 years. Forming part of the stunning new KAMPUS development, this is a truly unique space.
“Set canal-side, with a tropical garden added for good measure. This location provides the perfect paradise in the middle of the city to glide through your Saturday in style.”
The summer party is scheduled for Saturday, September 4th at 2pm. It will be a ticketed event, with early bird tickets costing £5 and general admission £7.
