The spirit of Oktoberfest is coming to Manchester this weekend if the form of a massive Bier Hall complete with lederhosens, live music and, of course, steins upon steins of German beer.

Oxford Road’s famed dining and drinking complex Hatch will be transformed into the traditional Bavarian beer festival of your dreams, with a full line-up of German-themed delights scheduled across the weekend.

Guests will be able to dance to live Bavarian music, courtesy of Oompah band icons Brasswurst, who will be on hand to mix classic German drinking songs alongside modern pop tunes; something that will pair very nicely with a stein and a wurst.

Speaking of food and drink, Hatch will also be dishing up a number of Bavarian delicacies, such as German inspired CurryWursts from Hatch residents, Grandad’s Sausages. Their usual food traders will also be operating as usual across the weekend.

On the beverage front, guests can expect a range from Bavarian craft specialists ABK. This includes their Hell, Edel, Dunkel, Festbier, Radler beers and more.

And as the sun goes down, DJs will take over the entertainment side of things – playing music only suitable for toasting tankards and Bavarian dancing (with a Mancunian swagger, obviously).
