Alton Towers have shared a first look at the new roller coaster thrillseekers can try when Nemesis returns to the park this spring. Undergoing the biggest overhaul in its 30-year history, the ride will now be known as Nemesis Reborn when it reopens to the public.
The entire 250-tonne, 716-metre-long track has been replaced during the huge transformation, with a complete update of the attraction.
Alton Towers shared a video clip today, showing a giant fiery red eye, surrounded by razor-sharp teeth at the centre of the creature’s head. Nemesis originally opened in 1994, and was crowned Europe’s first inverted roller coaster – with a now established cult status among roller coaster fanatics.
Millions have visited the theme park from around the world, all to experience the thrilling 3.5 G-force as they dangle across twists and turns at speeds of up to 50mph.
