Faulty Towers The Dining Experience

Fawlty Towers is an iconic piece of British television history, and has had audiences in stitches ever since it first aired in the 1970s.

Now you can live out an authentic Basil Fawlty dining experience at ‘Faulty Towers’, an immersive restaurant event which is happening at The Bowdon Rooms this summer.

The audience will become diners in the ‘Faulty Towers’ restaurant, and pretty much anything can happen – with 70% of the show being improvised.

The fun starts as guests wait to be seated, before two-hours of jokes and shambolic service ensue, as Basil, Sybil and Manuel serve a ‘70s-style three-course meal together with a good dollop of mayhem.

BBC

Internationally acclaimed, Faulty Towers was born in April 1997 as a loving tribute to the BBC’s much-loved TV series, and nearly a million people around the world have now seen it.

As of 2019, 11 teams of cast working from England and Australia tour around 20 countries a year performing it – the show is in its eighth year in London’s West End, where it holds TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence.

It’s won rave reviews as well, with The Advertiser at Adelaide Fringe saying: “A solid two hours of madness and a fantastic tribute to the much-loved BBC sitcom that leaves you bursting in laughter”.

Broadway Baby at Edinburgh Fringe called it ‘Outrageously funny’, while Best of Toronto, Sony Centre for the Performing Arts added: “Hilarious… catch it before it leaves”.

The ticket price includes a three course meal, and special dietary requirements must be made directly with the venue a minimum of one week before the event.

It’s coming to The Bowdon Rooms on Sunday June 20th 2021, with events at 12:00pm and 17:00pm.

You can grab your tickets here – for bookings of 10 or more you’ll need to contact the venue directly.
