Cosy Alpine-themed huts with karaoke and festive drinks return this Christmas

Get all festive and have some fun this year by taking a group of friends to try Bar Hütte’s pop-up Christmas karaoke huts, in the city centre.

This year will be extra special with not one, but two Christmas courtyards in the city.

Bar Hütte has confirmed it will be returning to Great Northern Square, at Deansgate, with an added second canal-side location at Kampus.

Decked with cosy furnishings and twinkling lights, with live music sessions and flowing drinks, guests can expect to feel as though they are in a miniature rustic alpine village based in the heart of the buzzing city.

Inspired by some of Europe’s coolest après ski bars, Bar Hütte combines super snug karaoke with a vibrant and cheerful Alpine atmosphere.

Now in its seventh year, it has become a festive staple of the city – perfect for your work’s Christmas party, a family day out or an evening spent with friends.

On the weekends, in the run up to the big day, there will also be family Santa Claus Club one-hour sessions for kids to enjoy. These include a hut, hot chocolate, colouring pads and a chance to meet Santa himself. 

Creative and crafty people can have a go at making their very own Christmas wreath, which is on offer at both locations, and comes with a complimentary glass of prosecco or mulled wine.

The new Bar Hütte at Kampus will see an outdoor terrace with eight karaoke huts nestled beneath the trees, and an Alpine ski bungalow serving as a bar.

The Kampus site has also teamed up with Nell’s and The Great North Pie Co for hungry foodies to order pizza and pies straight to their hut, using the QR code ordering system.

Bar Hütte at Great Northern Square will feature 15 wooden huts under a heating stretch tent dressed in twinkling lights.

Here, there’ll also be a full entertainment schedule of live music and DJs as well as winter serves, cocktails so fancy they’d look good on the ‘gram, plus, the legendary Bombardino – which in Italian translates to ‘It’s like a little bomb!’ – and the famous Bar Hütte shot-ski. 

Those taking part in the festivities can book a cosy hut which sits up to eight people or for larger groups, a party lodge can be booked for up to 20 people.

Both Bar Hütte at Kampus and Bar Hütte at Great Northern Square will be open to the public on Wednesday, November 8th, and bookings have just launched.
