Calling all adrenalin junkies: Europe’s largest aerial ride is coming to Blackpool this month.

That’s right, if you’re a thrill-seeker you’ll be pleased to hear that Europe’s biggest travelling aerial ride will be coming to the North West for the first time ever.

The mammoth ride will head to the resort from November 19th until January 2nd as part of Blackpool’s Winter Gardens Wonderland attraction.

The ride – which is a very first for Lancashire – will propel riders to heights of 65 metres, which is nearly half the height of the Blackpool Tower.

It will  be located in St John’s Square directly outside the Winter Gardens Complex.

A spokesperson from Blackpool Promotions, who are putting on the Winter Gardens Wonderland event, said: “This is a very first for Lancashire, this ride is not something you see every day.

“Previously appearing at fairgrounds and Christmas markets across Europe and around the globe so for us to secure it for Blackpool is a very special thing, we are incredibly proud to have this for the resort during the festive season”.

There will also be a Festive Village in front of Blackpool Tower courtesy of Visit Blackpool, which features free ice skating, falling snow, a Magical Forest, and festive lights.

With Bavarian Style Christmas Chalets, Winter Gardens Wonderland will spread right throughout the resort, both inside the Grade II listed Winter Gardens and outside in the main square and surrounding streets.
