The incredible job hardworking NHS workers have been doing during the coronavirus pandemic has reiterated just how important they are.
They are the backbone of this country and they deserve our thanks – and now Liam Gallagher is showing his appreciation with a free gig for them.
The former Oasis frontman recently announced he would be putting on a free show for NHS and care workers on October 29th at The 02 in London.
The younger Gallagher brother took to social media to reveal the good news.
Liam wrote: “It’s an honour to announce that I will be doing a gig for the NHS and careworkers at London’s TheO2 on October 29th. They do an incredible job, we are very lucky to have them. LG x”
Last month the singer put out a demand for an Oasis reunion, with all proceeds going to the heroes at the NHS.
Once again he took to Twitter, writing: “Rite sick of pleading begging etc no more olive branches I DEMAND an oasis reunion after this is all over all money going to NHS c’mon you know As we were LG x”.
As well as being the news all Oasis fans had been waiting for, raising money for the NHS is something absolutely everyone can get behind, and people waited with bated breath for Noel to speak out.
Well he didn’t, and it was radio silence from Noel, with Liam then putting out another tweet confirming the gig was going to happen regardless of whether his brother wanted to get involved or not.
Now it looks like the free gig is a compromise, after Noel didn’t get involved with the original Oasis reunion plan.
Details of tickets haven’t been released yet. This is brilliant gesture, well done Liam!
