Ne-Yo announces Manchester gig date as part of UK tour next year

Ne-Yo has announced a huge UK tour for next year which will kick-off with a gig in Manchester, with support from R&B legend Mario.

The ‘Closer’ and ‘Miss Independent’ hitmaker will bring his Champagne & Roses Tour to the UK in 2024 with one fantastic night at the Manchester AO Arena.

Ne-Yo, a three-time Grammy Award winner, will kick-off his six-date tour in Manchester on March 7th before heading to Leeds, Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Newcastle.

Millennials can relive their youth and dance the night away to some essential contemporary R&B tracks from the noughties.

Special guest Mario, who also helped define the decade with hits like ‘Let Me Love You’ in 2004, will perform a set of nostalgic tunes to add to the night, as well as plenty of new ones too.

US singer-songwriter Ne-Yo has had several hits in the UK including ‘Sexy Love’, ‘Closer’, ‘Because of You’, ‘Miss Independent’ and ‘So Sick’.

His debut single ‘So Sick’ in 2005 went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified quadruple Platinum.

The Vegas-born artist has written songs for the likes of Beyoncé, Rhianna, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion among others.

He’s also starred in films including Step Up and Empire.

The announcement follows a successful tour around the US in support of his eighth album Self Explanatory.
