A new open-air nightclub is set to launch in Manchester city centre to host a whole summer of huge parties.
Progress Centre, situated in Charlton Place, Ardwick, is a new open-air nightclub curated by the people of Manchester. Manchester’s already varied and epic nightlife is about to get a hot new edition with the upcoming launch of Progress Centre.
The team behind it are also the creators of The Loft, Animal Crossing and Summer Of Love Festival — and they have been working hard to create a six-month summer programme featuring local and international artists, which promises to bring a whole new level of energy to the city.
Party animals will be getting excited as the season starts soon, running from April until September, hosting an impressive lineup of DJs and performers from around the world. The first run of April shows includes the likes of Traumer, Randal, Dyed Soundorom b2b Gene on Earth, Sasha, DBridge, Dusky, Fabio, Swoose, Mr. Sosa, Gemma Arnott, Liam Schooling, Liam Palmer, and many more.
With such an incredible lineup of artists, it’s clear that the Project Centre is going to be the place to be this summer. Inspired by the European clubbing scene, the unique outdoor dance space has an overhead cover — because, Manchester — and lots of funky areas to sit with friends or chill with a drink.
The first-look artist’s impression of the space shows it decked out with fluorescent symbols, tyres, streamers, umbrellas and cool colours, much like a festival or full moon party – it looks wicked. Clubbers can enjoy the vibe while they take the party right through the day and night as the sun sets and they enjoy this different experience — just as they would abroad.
In a social campaign designed to gather feedback from Mancunians, the venue asked people questions on how they could create a tailor-made environment suitable for the community.
Promoter Olli Ryder said: “For us to include the voices of the people in the space curation further amplifies that it will be fit for purpose. Options are scarce across the city and the UK, so when a new space is introduced, it’s key to ensure you deliver exactly what the people want.
“It’s the community of dancers you do this for; it’s those who make this all possible; you’re asked if you’d like any dessert at the end of a meal, so why should it be any different when creating a club?”
We’re excited to see how this new clubbing experience develops and checking it out this summer! Tickets are available at progress-centre.co.uk.
