Scare City

Cannibal butchers, eerie cults, and more gore than ever before: Scare City returns to give visitors the fright of their life this Halloween.

Taking place in the abandoned theme park of Camelot, Scare City — the nations’ favourite horror event — promises more blood, gore and scares than ever before, with renowned master confectioners Swizzels returning as headline sponsor.

This total scare fest, based near Chorely, will bring your nightmares to life with terrifying creatures lurking in the shadows and flesh eating zombies out to get you, as you explore this derelict theme park.

This year’s event will feature 10 truly terrifying zones, including four brand-new indoor mazes.

Expect hordes of live actors, horrifyingly realistic set design, and more than a few things going ‘bump’ in the night.

With zones being announced on social media, attendees are getting a glimpse at what they can expect for the fourth year of Scare City. Think derelict hospitals, cannibal butchers, eerie cults, and a serial killer’s dumping ground.

There are even a few familiar faces making an appearance, including the corrupt cast of The Moregrave Brother’s circus. If you don’t know them already, prepare to get acquainted with a rogue’s gallery of the grim and grotesque.

Getting scared silly is thirsty work – luckily, the event’s headline sponsor Swizzels provides visitors with a feast of food and beverage vendors at the halfway mark in their very own zone

Sponsored by everyone’s favourite sweets brand, you’ll be able to fuel up for the second half of your travels – or perhaps it’ll be your last supper.

The first night of scares kicks off on September 29th, with events running until early November. Bring your friends and get ready to come face to face with true terror.

Scare City is Greater Manchester’s favourite horror extravaganza. Starting out as a drive-in cinema in 2020, it’s now a walk-through horror attraction based on the plot of the old Camelot Theme Park.
