The Immersive Abba Mia Drive-In Experience

ABBA fans are in for a treat, as a brand new immersive event featuring hits from the band is coming to Manchester next month.

The Immersive ABBA Mia Drive-In Experience will transport the good vibes of Greece to Manchester, spreading some joy after spending the past year locked-down in our homes.

If you fancy singing the night away, head down to the Trafford Centre on May 31st where you’ll be transported to the virtual island of Kalaraiki from the minute you drive in.

It starts with a virtual ferry trip over to the ‘island’, where Dancing Queens will get set for an evening of nostalgic fun, crammed full of back-to-back ABBA hits to sing along to.

According to the event description: “The show starts the moment you arrive! Your ticket will include a virtual car ferry trip over to the island of Kalaraiki, where you will park up to join the celebrations.

“You will be driving into the most unique theatre in the world, designed to be COVID compliant. Leave reality behind and sing along to some of Abba’s Greatest Hits presented under the cover of the largest marquee in Europe.

“You might want to dress up for the occasion as there will be prizes for the best-dressed family, couple and vehicle. Relax as you sit outside of your car in your own isolated space, take advantage of our waiter service and indulge in one of our famous alcohol-free island cocktails.”

The event is located underneath the largest marquee in Europe, meaning you’ll be sheltered from whatever the Mancunian weather throws at us.

It promises to offer a unique, summer-themed setting to get you in the Greek mood, complete with an island cocktail service straight to your car serving alcohol-free cocktails.

And thanks to the marquee you won’t have to hide in your car if it rains, as you can dance the night away and sing along with your bubble in your designated, socially distant seating area.

Tickets are now on sale with two events happening on May 31st – you can grab yours here.

Stockport’s free, one-day Christmas festival is returning this festive season, with 200 performers and more than 50 shows.

Spectacular Sunday will return to the town on November 17th at various sites and venues.

Following the success of last year’s event, hundreds of performers will take over Stockport, with everything from giant roller-skating presents to a living snow globe and roaming Christmas dolls.

There will also be street theatre, including grumpy Christmas grandads, a gigantic balloon man and water show.

Produced by carnival arts organisation Global Grooves and organised by Stockport Council, Totally Stockport, Merseyway and Stockport Market, the town centre will be buzzing with Christmas excitement.

Events will be happening in iconic Stockport locations like Market Place, Underbanks, Merseyway, Redrock and Suffragette Square.

A grand finale in Merseyway will bring together the brass bands of Stockport, ending the day with a huge flash mob and rendition of All You Need Is Love.

Urban Playground has taken things to the next level, revealing three brand new games for thrill-seekers to sink their teeth into.

The Manchester Arndale entertainment venue, which is already home to an impressive array of games, has added even more fun to the line up.

From mini golf to arcade games and loads of food and drink, Urban Playground has everything you need for an incredible day out.

They’ve now added three new games to The Cube Live experience, ahead of the upcoming Christmas party season.

‘Pass’, ‘Exit’ and ‘Locate’ are the three new nail-bitingly tense games, and you’ll recognise them all from TV.

In Pass, two players rapidly weave a foam brick back and forth between free-standing poles, avoiding knocking the poles over as they go – requiring agility and great communication.

Exit sees two players work together manoeuvring a ball out of a maze testing their patience to the max.

Lastly, Locate is a single player game where players must memorise an illuminated white square’s location, before placing a block on it while blindfolded.

They’re all deceptively straightforward, while also fiendishly addictive, and perfect for a team day out.

Get booked in HERE to try the new games for yourself.
