To celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Stone Roses’ epic Spike Island gig, one of their leading tribute acts is set to recreate it.

The Clone Roses will return to the iconic spot, which will host its first live gig since the original band appeared there in 1990, for the ultimate throwback performance.

Spike Island – The Resurrection is happening next May, at the man-made island in Widnes.

And the whole thing is set to transport you back to the ‘90s, complete with the original setlist and fashion, and The Clone Roses will be joined by a load of Manchester-themed tribute acts.

This includes support from Happy Mondaze, Oas-is, True Order, The Smiths Ltd, The James Experience.

As well as that, some familiar faces from the ‘Madchester’ era will be there, like Bez, DJ Dave Booth of Hacienda fame, Andy Barker from 808 State and Clint Boon from Inspiral Carpets.

The event will take place on May 16th 2020 at Spike Island in Widnes (obviously), with tickets from £27.50 – they go on sale this Saturday, December 7th at 10am and you can grab them here.
