Single gin-lovers can delete Tinder off their phone as there’s a new matchmaking service that’s right up their street. Developed by Boë Gin, Ginder (which sounds a lot like Grindr but it’s not) is designed to help you avoid romantic red flags using cocktails that are matched to personality traits.
The service will be trialled for the first time in Manchester this Valentine’s season, and will see singles couple-up based on matching colourful cocktail flavours.

The singles service will be trialled for the first time at Manchester’s Atlas Gin Bar over Valentine’s, and gin experts will be on hand to play cupid with dating advice. Instead of selecting from the normal cocktail menu, singles will fill out a personality questionnaire curated to identify their ideal lover – from the answers provided, the bartender will create a colourful cocktail which doubles as a distinctive beacon to attract suitors with the same traits.
Director of Boë, Carlo Valente, said: “We’re offering a chance of true Boë-mance for singles this Valentine’s Day with our colourful cocktail matchmaking service. Each of our gins has a vibrant personality, but we believe there is a perfect pairing for everyone out there – both for a favourite tipple and hopefully in their romantic lives as well.”
“We want to encourage singles during this season to step away from the dating apps and celebrate with friends – who knows, you may even make a connection over a cocktail.”
The gin brand will be keeping track of connections made through the service and plan to roll out the Ginder service in more cities around the UK for gin-loving singles.
The first Boë Gin matchmaking event will take place at Atlas Gin Bar on Deansgate on Thursday February 13th, 7pm-10pm. Check out the Facebook event here for more info.
