Patrón Tequila is paying homage to its roots with a huge Day of the Dead tequila party, complete with a parade, face painting and plenty of cocktails.
Falling on 1st and 2nd November, Día de Muertos stems from the ancient belief that during those days our deceased loved ones have permission to visit friends and families on earth and spend time together honouring life.
And this year Patrón is bringing together Mexican heritage and Manchester’s hospitality masters for over a week of celebrations and parties – to get together and toast this unique celebration of life across a number of bars and restaurants.
The first event on the bill is over in Spinningfields where The Oast House’s iconic winter tipi has been transformed into a Mexican paradise for the weekend, for Mancunians to come together and celebrate the spirit of Mexico’s Día de Muertos in true style.
Officially kicking off tomorrow, October 29th, there will be a ton of fun festivities such as £7 cocktails served in Patrón skull mugs and make up artists to give guests Día de Muertos-inspired face paints – all proceeds of which will go to local Manchester charities.
Live music will be starting in the tipi from 6pm, before a DJ takes over at 8pm. Also at 8pm will be a huge parade of Mexican characters throughout Spinningfields.
Patrón will be taking over The Oast House until November 2nd. Head over to The Oast House’s websitefor more information.
But that isn’t all Patrón has lined up – they will also be throwing parties in a number of other venues across the city, including The Ivy Spinningfields until November 7th, Ducie Street Warehouse from October 30th – November 3rd, Crazy Pedro’s from October 29th – November 2nd, and The FireHouse at Ramona until November 2nd.
