A huge Hacienda house party will be taking over the United We Stream platform again this bank holiday weekend, this time with Hacienda Classical performing.
Hacienda Classical will be doing an epic 12-hour session. The show will see DJ Graeme Park and musical director Tim Crooks bring together Manchester Camerata players.
Hacienda Classical is always a sell-out event when it takes place each summer in Castlefield Bowl. The event sees the joining of classical music with iconic tunes from the Hacienda.
Last time the Hacienda took over United We Stream, 1.6 million people tuned into the platform, enjoying their very own lockdown parties.
Saturday May 9th will see The Hacienda House Part II entertain us, with some of the world’s finest DJs including New York’s Danny Tenaglia, Little Loui Vega and Arthur Baker.
The event is free to watch but viewers are encouraged to donate via the website. United We Stream has already raised more than £260,000. This money is now ready for businesses to apply for funding.
8% of funding goes to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity, 22% goes to Mayor of Greater Manchester’s Charity and the remaining 70% goes to specifically to support Greater Manchester’s music venues, restaurants, nightclubs, cultural organisations and individuals unable to work currently.
Paul Fletcher, FAC 51 The Hacienda manager said: “When we did our first Hacienda House Party Easter Saturday, we had absolutely no idea how it would go.
“Even with an audience of over 1.5 million tuning in, it felt weirdly intimate and there was so much love throughout the day, reaching out from the music, that we just had to do it again.
