The historic Victoria Baths will be hosting an alternative Christmas market this winter, complete with mulled wine and mince pies.
While most of the crowds and the fuss will be drawn to the annual Manchester Christmas Markets, which have this year been relocated to Piccadilly Gardens amid ongoing construction work at the Town Hall, those wanting something a little different and more low key can head over to Victoria Baths.
There, guests will find the Festive Winter Fair, an annual market pop up celebrating all things Christmas right there within the two empty pool halls.

There will be a whole host of different stalls including various foodie gifts, ceramics, pet products, jewellery, prints, decorations and items perfect for yourself and as Christmas gifts for loved ones.
Also up for grabs will be hand-poured candles courtesy of Old Man and Magpie, handcrafted ceramics and jewellery from Elizabeth Emmaus-Wilson, colourful homeware gifts from designer Lydia Meiying and hand-knitted products inspired by the Pennines from Bracken and Moss design, plus many more.
Gin lovers will also be able to sample the new Victoria Baths gin, which has been created especially for the venue in collaboration with Cheshire-based distillery Winding River, who used a delicious blend of kaffir lime leaves, liquorice root and coriander seeds.

Over in the Tea Room, there will also be volunteers serving up a selection of sandwiches and cakes, as well as hot and cold drinks (and plenty of mulled wine and mince pies, of course).
Matthew Fox, the co-founder of Winding River, said: “We are so excited to be working with Victoria Baths on their first-ever gin; we’ve been part of their Festive Winter Fair for many years and love this building and the community behind it.”
The Festive Winter Fair at Victoria Baths will be taking place across Saturday November 13th and Sunday November 14th, and tickets are just £5 (free for Friends and Under 16s).
