If you fancy seeing Barbie or Oppenheimer but haven’t got round to it yet, now’s your chance with £3 tickets for National Cinema Day this weekend.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, it’s National Cinema day on Saturday September 2nd and to celebrate, all cinemas across Manchester are offering tickets – including for the biggest blockbusters – for £3.

Film fans can enjoy a day out with the family for a bargain before the kids head back to school and normal life resumes.

If you’ve not gotten onboard the Barbenheimer hype this summer, movie lovers can also go to see the new Equaliser 3. Denzel Washington returns to the big screen as Robert McCall as he struggles to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past, finding a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed.

Also landing in cinemas just in time for the weekend is new release Cobweb.

If you’re after something dark and scary, this tells the story of eight-year-old Peter who is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination.

For those comics book fans out there, you can watch some of your favourite heroes such as Blue Beetle – where Jaime Rayes finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology, called the Scarab. There’s also Spiderman: Across The Spider-verse.

Other action-packed must-sees are Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny or Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

Animal lovers can watch Strays or Meg 2: The Trench. Other great choices include, Mario Bros. Movie, Disney’s The Haunted Mansion, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Mavka: The Forest Song.

Ian Harris, General Manager of Manchester Printworks, said: “Nothing quite compares to seeing a film on the big screen, which is why we’re thrilled to see the experience being celebrated with National Cinema Day.

“We hope as many people as possible take part in the occasion and remind themselves of the joy of the big screen experience.

“There really is no other way to completely immerse yourself in brilliant stories than on the big screen and when better than on National Cinema Day for just £3 a ticket.”
